OH You read that right

now when I go to the indoor range I can make people Sh*t their pants like a guy did to me a few weeks ago when he pulled that trigger on a DE 50,At that moment I said I want to be that guy.

The .50AE is a BIG HONKIN' cartridge! Lots of powder capacity, throwing a heavy boolit downrange. A quick look at reloading info suggests that this cartridge chews up about 5-6 times the powder needed for a cute little 9mm round.

A single stage press may do the job, if you're only reloading for this monster.

Congrats on your hand cannon. Do you have an in-the-waistband holster for it yet?:tongue_ma:

Fun to own, but not to shoot. Sure you'll go out and impress or scare some people, but the cost of rounds and the trama to your arms, wrists and ears will have you leaving that home most days. Best to use the 22 -- cheap to shoot, don't need plugs, and still requires the same disipline and patience to get the same tight groupings.

I know you don't believe me, but you will...

I have an 8 1/2 inch S&W 44 Mag and I effin hate the thing.

Don't need plugs? I guess that might be the case if you either:

- don't value your hearing

...or...

- have a very well suppressed weapon

have many Big bore have no problem shooting them

crap my wifes 360PD shooting 357mag out of it makes your S&W 44 feel like a 22

22's to me are very boring ,but thats me, only time I shoot it is when I am hungry for fried squirrel

I got to have fun in every thing I do and thats what I plan to do with the DE

What a pistol! I shot one years ago in an indoor range. I had my 17 and I was shooting and then BOOM!!!...I shoot some more rounds...BOOM!!! I could FEEL that damn thing like 5 lanes down! I put my gun down and walk over to see what the hell it was and it was a DE .50 cal just like yours and the guy was like taker 'er for a spin! I shot it 3 times and I had enough of that monster! But MAN what a piece! Congrats! I offered for the guy to shoot my 17 and he declined....

I have a S&W model 500 with the 10-1/2" barrel. It was a total impulse buy. I got a free box of ammo with the gun, and I have about 4 or 5 of those rounds left. I wish I would have bought a nice rifle instead. Oh well, I'm always ready to go big game hunting!
